Our Squads

Junior Squad
Our Junior Squad introduces young swimmers to structured training. We focus on technique, endurance and building confidence in a supportive environment.

Development Squad
Our Development Squad bridges the gap between junior and senior levels. We refine technique, build stamina and introduce more advanced training drills for growing swimmers.

Senior & Advance Squads
We challenge experienced swimmers with focused sessions that improve speed, endurance and efficiency. Our Senior and Advance Squads cater to high-skill swimmers training for personal goals.

Adult Squad
We welcome adults of all abilities looking to improve technique, boost fitness or return to regular swimming in a friendly, non-competitive setting.

Squad swimming is designed for swimmers who have developed these foundations and are ready to train, with sessions focused on improving fitness, refining technique, and developing speed and endurance in a team environment. Cannonvale Swim Centre offers three levels of squad training for children who attend primary or secondary school.
The Junior Squad is the first training group, where swimmers are introduced to training etiquette, lap swimming and stroke development. The Development Squad is the next level, centring around refining technique and racing skills while introducing timed repeats and intensity. The Advanced Squad is targeted at a “train to train” or “train to compete” focus, with swimmers predominantly in secondary school.
Our swim squads provide a supportive environment focused on fitness, technique and personal improvement. With expert coaching and a strong focus on skill development, each squad level is designed to help swimmers progress at their own pace. From Junior and Development Squads to Senior and Adult options, there is a program to suit every goal.
